Javi and Cloud went to the same school, were part of the same major, and yet never crossed paths until one fateful day that Claudia stumbled into a coffee shop in Oakland and officially met Javi—and the rest is history!

Growing up, our parents have always shown cariño to us through food, physical touch, and  love-- and we wanted Café con Cariño to follow in this tradition. Café con Cariño emerged out of our core objective to bring something unique and delicious to your palette that could make you feel at home again too.

We went on to develop a fierce sisterhood rooted in radical love and liberation, and realized we wanted to build something that was intrinsically anti-capitalist, that was focused on joy & pleasure, and part of an experience worth investing in physically, financially,  and spiritually. 

We are bay area babies, community organizers, child care providers, story tellers, sauce alchemists, coffee professionals… and so much more.
